Trailanga Swami

This is the story of Trailanga Swami born in 1607 AD in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh, India. An Indian saint who did tremendous sadhana for over 250 years and attained  the heights of spiritual knowledge. Even during his life, many realized him to be an incarnation of Shiva. On many occasions, the swami was seen to drink, with no ill effect, the most deadly poisons. Thousands of people, including a few who are still living, have seen Trailanga floating on the Ganges. For days together, he would sit on top of the water or remain hidden for very long periods under the waves.

The yogi was great not only spiritually, but physically. His weight exceeded three hundred pounds: a pound for each year of his life! As he ate very seldom, the mystery is increased. A master, however, easily ignores all usual rules of health when he  desires to do for some special reason, often a subtle one known only to him. He always remained completely nude. He was known as Lord Shiva of Varanasi. Greatest Kriya yogi who lived for almost 300 years in his physical body. Left his bodily form in December 26, 1887. He lived almost 280 years.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

The Bengali Vaishnava saint Chaitanya wrought many miracles in his lifetime. But one in particular stands out. He had gone with his followers to witness the great chariot festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri. Suddenly, the towering chariot of the Lord came to a stop. Thousands of people pulled at the ropes but could not budge it. Elephants were brought, but they too failed. Finally, Chaitanya came to the back of the chariot and devotedly leaned his head against it. The chariot began to move!

an another such event was when after evening prayers, Chaitanya asked devotees what they would like to eat. All the devotees requested mango, but it was not the mango season and no mangoes were available. Lord Chaitanya then requested someone to bring him a dry mango seed. When that seed was given to the Lord, he placed it in the ground in front of everyone and began to chant the Holy name. The seed immediately sprouted and grew to  a full size mango tree. Within minutes the tree gave fruits. each fruit was at least five times bigger than the average size of mangoes of that time.

Saint Jnanadeva

He is revered for his Bhagavad Gita translation and commentary in the Mahrashtrian language. Among several miracles that established this 13th-century saint’s reputation, the most famous involved a water buffalo. Challenged by the arrogant Brahmins of Paithan that he was not qualified to recite the Vedas, Jnanadeva replies, “Anyone can recite the Vedas.” He placed his hand upon a nearby water buffalo, which proceeded to correctly chant Vedic verses for more than an hour. Not only Jnanadeva but the buffalo itself was thereafter revered- its Samadhi shrine is today a place of pilgrimage.

Baba instructed his followers to start preparing the meal, even though there were no supplies. Miraculously, as they began  cooking, and abundant amount of food appeared, enough to feed everyone. Suspensive right?

Maharaj ji took one look at Alpert and correctly told him that the previous night he was looking at the stars and remembering his mother, and that mother had passed away six months ago of spleen. lpert’s mind knocked out of his skull at that every moment.

Later Alpert handed Baba ji one LSD pill. He popped it. Nothing happened. He gave him two pills. Maharaj ji popped them too, Nothing happened. Then, he gave him enough pills to kill a horse and sat with him the whole day. Nothing happened.

However, the oil seemed to multiply miraculously, as it never ran out despite the lamps burning for an extended period. This incident was seen as a divine blessing and a sign of his spiritual power.

During a storm, a boat carrying devotees began to leak and was in danger of capsizing. Devotees prayed to Sai Baba, who was physically distant at the time. Miraculously, the leak stopped, and the boat reached safely, demonstrating his ability to help his followers in dire situation.
