The Stoneman killings involved the murders of at least 13 homeless people, most of whom were bludgeoned to death with heavy stones while they slept on the streets at night. The killing, which occurred between 1989 and 1990, caused panic and fear among the city’s homeless population and residents.
Despite extensive investigations by the police, the identity of the Stoneman was never conclusively determined, and the case remains unsolved to this day. Cyanide Mallika
Cyanide Mallika refers to K.D. Kempamma, an infamous serial killer in Karnataka, India. She was given the nickname because she used cynaide to murder several women, mostly elderly, under the guise of offering them herbal remedies or spiritual guidance. Kempamma operated between 1999 and 2007, targeting vulnerable women whom she would befriend and then poison with cyanide-laced offerings.
Her victims were often financially independent or had property, and Kempamma’s motive was primarily robbery. She was eventually arrested in 2007 and convicted for multiple murders. The case received significant media attention in India due to the brutal and calculated nature of her crimes.
Renuka
a notorious case in Maharashtra, India. She, along with her husband, kidnapped several children and forced them into begging. They killed over six toddlers. This case gained widespread attention due to its severity and the tragic circumstances surrounding the exploitation of vulnerable children. The Shindes were arrested and faced legal consequences for their actions, which sparked discussion and actions towards combating child trafficking and exploitation in India. In confession they said that they don’t remember how many kids they had killed in total.
Charles Sobhraj
Charles Sobhraj, also known as the “Bikni Killer” or the “Serpent,” is a French serial killer of Vietnamese and Indian descent who preyed on Western tourists throughout Southeast Asia during the 1970s. He was notorious for drugging, robbing, and sometimes murdering young travelers, often luring them with promises of adventure. He murdered around 12 people in various places in South East Asia. Unlike most other serial killers, Sobhraj has a motive-rob his victims to fund his flamboyant lifestyle. His usual method was to first gain the trust of tourists and potential victims by rescuing them from problems that he had created in the first place, and then defrauding them. Sobhraj was captured multiple times but managed to escape from prison on several occasions. He was finally arrested in Nepal in 2003 and sentenced to life imprisonment. His life has also been the subject of bools, documentaries, and a popular television series.
Auto Shankar
Auto Shankar was a notorious criminal from Tamil Nadu, India, known for his involvement in multiple murders and other criminal activities, including murder, kidnapping, and running a prostitution ring. During a period of six months in 1988 Auto Shankar abducted and murdered 9 teenage girls from Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. Though initially he blamed all of it on the influence of cinema, amoth before his execution, he confessed to committing the murders for some politicians who has oppressed the abducted teenage girl. Auto Shankar operated primarily in the outskirts of Chennai and was eventually arrested in 1988. He was convicted to death in 1991, and his sentence was carried out in 1995. His life and crimes have been the subject of several books, movies, and TV series in India.
Amardeep Sada
In 2007, India earned a world record for having the youngest serial killer.
A boy from Bihar committed 3 murders at the age of seven .
The First Murder: When Amardeep’s aunt left her 6 months old to their home and herself went to city for work. every thing was going well until a day when his mother went to market and asked him to take care of the child. Amardeep started pinching the child and enjoyed inflicting pain on his little brother. The child woke up from his sleep and started crying. The scream grew louder after Amardeep pulled his ears. Amardeep could not tolerate the sound of the crying and choked the child to death.
When his mother returned from the bazar and asked him where the child was, Amardeep smiled, took her to the paddy field and showed her where he had buried the child and told how he smashed his head with a brick.
Second Murder: A year later, his mother gave birth to a girl child. Everyone in the family for the new member but 8 year-Amarjeet would sit and stare at the newborn child for hours.
Eventually, his lack of connection with his sister resulted in him committing the second murder. One afternoon, She went to sleep but soon realised the mistake by letting the child alone with Amarjeet when she woke up and saw the evil grin on the face of her son. She screamed her lungs out after finding the lifeless body of her child.
Third Murder: He was walking by the village Primary School when he heard the voice of an infant coming from inside. The gurgling sound of the child echoed in the empty classroom. Amarjeet peeped in and saw a child covered in some white sheets.
Chunchun Devi came back from the market to see her 8-month-old-daughter missing. Chunchun Devi confronted Amarjeet Sada with tears rolling down her cheeks. Amarjeet showed no remorse or emotions when he calmly and proudly told her that he killed her daughter. Finally he was handed over to the police.
The Nithari Killer
The Nithari serial Killings, which unfolded between 2005 and 2006, were a series of appalling and horrendous crimes that occurred in the Nithari Locality of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The case involved the abduction, sexual abuse, and brutal murder of children and young women.
Surinder Koli, often labeled as the “Nithari Serial Killer,” was directly involved in the crimes He enticed victims, mostly children, into the house with promises of food or other lures. Once inside, he sexually assaulted, murdered, and dismembered them, often disposing of body parts in and around the house. Human remains were discovered in and around the house’s drainage system, indicating the scale of the killings.
After CBI investigation they were arrested and sentenced to death.
M. Jaishankar
A prisoner who allegedly committed suicide in Bengaluru, Had earned notoriety as a psychopathic serial killer, convicted or facing trial for the sexual assault and murder of 20 women on highways around Tamil Nadu and Karnataka between 2008 and 2012 while working as a truck driver.
Shankar, 38, whose crimes were the subject of a Kannada film, Psycho Shankar died in a hospital after he had allegedly slashed his neck with a shaving blade in Bengaluru Central prison.
