Creepy dolls

In this enigmatic world, let’s explore some horrible events  based on some creepy dolls which really shook the world with their suspenseful stories.

 

 

Annabelle

Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll, and its story begins in the 1970s. According to Ed and Lorraine Warren, renowned paranormal investigators, the doll given to a nursing student named Donna. Soon after receiving the doll, Donna and her roommate Angie began to notice strange occurrences, including the doll moving on its own and leaving handwritten messages.

The doll left the notes saying “Help us” or “Help Lou,” referring to a friend of Donna’s who later claimed to have experienced physical attacks related to the doll. Even Lou, a friend of Donna’s, experienced physical assaults, scratches and bruises. The Annabelle seem to move on from shelf to the bed of Lou.
Days passed, and the doll’s presence grew increasingly disturbing. The lights would flicker in the bedroom, and the temperature would drop whenever the doll was nearby. The creepy smile of the doll was all ready to give her heart-attack. It’s really one the top-listed and most infamous creepy dolls among our list.

Robert the Doll

Robert the Doll is a well-known haunted artifact, housed in the East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida. The doll, a large, creepy figure dressed in a sailor suit, was a gift to Robert Eugene Otto from his grandfather in 1904. Otto, known as Gene, was a young boy at that time.
The unsettling experiences with Robert began shortly after Gene received him. Gene would speak to the doll as if it were alive, and his parents and household staff reported seeing the doll move on its own. Furniture would be rearranged, objects would be thrown across the room, and eerie laughter was sometimes heard. The doll used to whisper “Will you play with me forever?” 

Neighbours and visitors reported that Robert would change positions, from sitting to standing, and even move to different moves like a man with no soul. Gene’s parents and others in the house saw the doll’s facial expressions change, often in a menacing manner.

 

 

 


Myrtle’s

Myrtle’s Plantation is located in St. Francis Ville, Louisiana, is a historic site renowned for its antebellum charm and reputed hauntings. Among its eerie attractions is a doll that has become infamous for its unsettling presence. The doll, which is often referred to as the “Haunted Doll” or simply “The Doll,” is a linked to a larger ghost story surrounding the plantation.

 

The doll in question is believed to be from the early 10th century, and its exact origins are somewhat murky. It was found in the attic of the plantation, a place already associated with various ghostly occurrences. It was initially discovered by staff and visitors who noticed the doll’s unsettling nature.
It was notices by the visitors that the doll’s head turns in all directions like a clock. It was felt by the visitors that someone is keeping and eye on them every moment.  In pictures, the unexplained shadows, the devil were clearly visible. Apart those who tried to touch felt an intense sense of dread or unease with anxiety or sadness.

 

The Island of the Dolls

The Island of the Dolls, or is located in Xochimilco, a borough of Mexico City, Mexico. It is an uninhabited island on a lake, renowned for its eerie display of thousands of decaying, discarded dolls. The island is the site of a chilling legend .

The story of the island begins in the 1950s with a man named Julián Santana Barrera, who became the island’s sole inhabitant. According to local lore, Barrera discovered the body of a young girl who had drowned in the lake. Grief-stricken and troubled by the incident, Barrera began to hand dolls from trees and around the island as an offering to the spirit of the deceased girl, hoping to appease her restless soul.

The island is covered in deteriorating creepy dolls, many of which are missing limbs, have broken faces, or are covered in mold. Their lifeless, glassy eyes are tattered clothing contribute to an atmosphere of pervasive dread. The creepy dolls change their positions on their own. Even the dolls’ heads seem to turn or that their eyes follow them as they walk by, with the feeling of being watched and touched. Huge shadows beside the dolls  were captured in the photographs. It is said that they play, sing and even dance together in the darkness of night.

Mannequin

In a now closed department store in England, a mannequin was reported to be the source of eerie occurrences. Employees and visitors reported seeing the mannequin change positions overnight and hearing it whispering when no one was around. The Mannequin caused several accidents in the store, including mysterious falls and unexplained injuries to staff. It feels like the shadow frequently following them and whispering “Why he did that”?

 

It is said that a girl named Maria used to work in the store. She was immensely beautiful. The store manager harassed her so much that she took her life in the same department she was working and till now her soul in the form of mannequin asks the visitors to help her.
A visitor of store shared his experience that “I saw a woman standing farther up the stairs, when I turned back I felt something touched me  and when I saw the hand was of that lady, her hand got very large that she touched me right from the stairs. She was bleeding and crying like a wolf.”
